What Personal Information Do We Collect?

At Sarah Artistry Ltd, we collect personal information when you sign up for a course, make a complaint, or become a student. This information includes your name, contact details, and other relevant details.

How Do We Use Your Information?

Our lawful basis for processing your information under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) is the principle of legitimate interests. We control and process your data to fulfil contractual obligations and for broader purposes, such as submission to relevant qualification awarding bodies. We also use your data to prevent fraud and dishonesty and to perform analytics across our datasets.

To achieve these objectives, we share data with third parties, such as regulators, qualification awarding bodies, debt recovery agencies, law enforcement agencies, professional advisors, and other relevant entities. Information we hold about you will be retained for no longer than six years after our final correspondence, except to meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements.

Employees and Other Workers

We collect and maintain personal and sensitive information about employees, contractors, and other workers, including job applicants and former employees. This information includes name, contact details, gender, proof of identity, proof of qualifications, bank details, nationality, criminal records check, references, health questionnaire, and next of kin.

As an employer, we use your data to fulfil statutory obligations, such as paying salaries, tax, national insurance, and health & safety in the workplace. This may involve sharing information with third parties, such as insurers, professional advisors, recruitment agencies, HMRC, DWP, pension and life assurance companies, and other relevant parties.

Information provided during the job application process will be retained as part of your employee file for the duration of your employment plus six years following the end of your employment. This includes your criminal records declaration, fitness to work, records of any security checks, references, and eligibility to work in the UK. If you are unsuccessful at any stage of the process, the information you provided will be destroyed and deleted from our records after six months. We do not collect more information than necessary to fulfil our stated purposes and will not retain it longer than necessary. Some employee information may be processed by our payroll provider based in India.

You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please email us at sarahartistry_rdemption@outlook.com

You also have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you via a Subject Access Request (SAR). Please refer to our SAR policy for details.
