Qualification outline – The VTCT Level 1 NVQ Certificate in Beauty Therapy certifies competence as an assistant junior beauty therapist. Designed for learners aged 16 and over, this qualification equips individuals with skills essential for entry-level roles in commercial beauty salons. Units cover areas such as salon maintenance, client interaction, health and safety, and basic beauty services assistance. Graduates can pursue employment as assistant junior beauty therapists or progress to Level 2 qualifications, including NVQ Diplomas and specialized beauty therapy studies. Recognized by industry standards and supported by BABTAC, this qualification provides a foundational pathway for career development in the beauty therapy sector.
