What is the LVL lash lift and is it worth all the hype?

Let’s start off with what lash lifting actually is, LVL stands for Length-Volume-Lift, the idea is actually quite simple but yet so effective, a trained beauty therapist uses a setting serum to straighten your natural lashes from the root (making them look curled up) then tinting your lashes, creating the appearance of mascara or for those of you lucky girls with longer lashes the false lash effect.

A lash lift can take anything from an hour to an hour  from beginning to end and maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift even more so. A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person and if they are well maintained.

A good therapist can charge from £40-£80 depending on the desired look and location, always do your research and ensure you book into a retupatable salon, with the correctly trained staff.

So why is it so hot? social media has a big part to thank in part for driving in clients requesting lash lifts, just by searching #lashlift on Instagram and hundreds of thousands of “before and after” pictures appear, showing natural lashes transformed from short and stubby to longer and fuller lashes.

A lot of celebrities have also been endorsing the LVL from there social media pages, aside from the celebrity buzz, the LVL lifts are also easily marketable to clients who wish for thicker lashes whom themselves have very fair or sparse lashes who want a little definition and enhancement but are afraid of extensions.
